Typically found in kitchens and bathrooms, vinyl is becoming more popular throughout other areas of the home due to its ability to handle high traffic areas.

Laminate

Laminate is proving more popular than ever, understandably when it is made to look as close to real wood as possible, but without the hefty price tag. They are perfect for those high traffic areas in your home, with many providing you with up to 25 year wear guarantee, just a quick sweep and its looking brand new again.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)

Luxury vinyl tiles or ‘lvt’ have been making quite the impact on the domestic scene recently, having been used in the commercial market for years, they are becoming more and more popular in peoples homes, much like laminate, these are easy to maintain, come in many designs and colours, but what really makes lvt stand out, is that they are waterproof so make the perfect solution for kitchens and bathrooms.

With two types of lvt to choose from ‘dryback’ and ‘clic’, there is pro’s and con’s to both of them so be sure to talk with your installer to decide which option will suit you best.

Floor preparation

All floor preparation undertaken, whether it’s concrete and it needs smoothing ready to take your new lvt, or your existing wooden floorboards are as uneven as the Himalayas, this can all be rectified with the correct preparation.
